Born from a love of travel—and a packing problem
SANDL was born from a simple frustration—and a love of travel.
Founder Katy Hargreaves spent months exploring the world with just hand luggage, quickly realising that packing for different occasions meant compromising. One pair of shoes was never enough—but carrying multiple pairs took up valuable space, added weight, and went against the idea of travelling freely and simply.
Along the way, Katy spoke to fellow travellers who shared the same challenge: choosing between practicality and style. Whether it was hiking during the day or heading out for dinner in the evening, footwear was always a compromise.
That’s where the idea for SANDL began.
